YAY! So I finally figured out how to set my blog...only took me 302 years =/ But none the less I got it up and running!! So lets get this FIRST ever blog started...shall we.....

Okay so I have been using Revlons Photoready foundation for sometime now, and I like to test out new stuff or things I have heard good reviews about so I was running low on my RPR so I decided to go out and see what else I could try. I had been wanting to try the Revlon Colorstay Foundation, so I picked that up as well as the Maybelline Superstay Foundation.

First things first I had to pick up the Colorstay in Normal/Dry skin in True Beige because Target didn't have a wide variety of colors and the Oily skin colors were waaayyy to light for me, even its darkest wasn't even close to my color. So I opted for the Normal/Dry Skin formualation which I think is in part to way I don't like the foundation. It says its suppose to last for 16 hours, mine lasted maybe 5 hours. Mind you I DO have oily skin. Someone told me Wal-Mart has a better color selection so I will be grabbing the Colorstay Oily Skin next time I'm there just to give it a fair shot. Back to my story, I found the color to be very nice, but alittle thicker than I like, I use a dual fiber brush to apply my foundation and found that it was a little difficult to blend out because it was much thicker than I am use to. It give good coverage but I didn't really like the feeling on my face. At first I thought it was all good, but then after 4-5 hours I noticed around my nose and mouth it was getting a little blotchy. I don't however think it was the foundations fault, it was my oily skin. I wanted to love this foundation oh so much, but the Normal/Dry skin one just isn't for me. I hope that when I grab the Oily skin one it will be 100% better...stay tuned for that review.

On to the Maybelline Superstay foundation which I picked up in the color Honey Beige. LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation, it is literally A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The only downside to it is the packaging. I'm just not a fan of the pour out bottles, I like pumps better, but we can't all be perfect right?? This makeup stayed on my face ALL day and night, which is great, since I don't like to reapply throughout the day. This foundation gave me great coverage. I again used my dual fiber brush and I found that this one blended out way easier than the Colorstay. It is a matte foundation which is good for me and my oily skin. One the downside I have read that if you are lighter in complexion this is not the foundation for you since it tends to have an organgy base, but if you are more on the tan side this is amazing foundation. All in all if your in the market for a great drugstore foundation, you need to give this one a try. You will love it.
